Global Health Systems Solutions (GHSS) is at the forefront of supporting COVID-19 response efforts across nine member states in the Central Africa Region. With a focus on enhancing the uptake of COVID-19 vaccines, GHSS, in collaboration with Africa CDC and the Mastercard Foundation, is working closely with the ministries of health in Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Congo Republic, Chad, Central African Republic (CAR), Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Burundi, and Sao Tome.

The organization’s commitment to combating COVID-19 extends beyond vaccine distribution. GHSS’s comprehensive response activities in Africa have also received crucial support from the Rocafella Foundation, Africa Field Epidemiology Network (AFENET), and Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND). Through these strategic partnerships, GHSS has made significant strides in addressing the challenges posed by the pandemic.

GHSS’s intervention in COVID-19 response has yielded tangible achievements, including increased vaccine coverage, improved access to testing and diagnostics, enhanced surveillance capabilities, and strengthened healthcare infrastructure. By leveraging its expertise and collaborative networks, GHSS is making a meaningful impact in mitigating the spread of COVID-19 and safeguarding the health of communities across Central Africa.

As GHSS continues its efforts to support COVID-19 response and recovery, we remain committed to working hand-in-hand with local authorities, international partners, and communities to overcome this unprecedented global health crisis.
