Global Health Systems Solutions (GHSS) has been at the forefront of bolstering laboratory Quality Management Systems (QMS) across Africa, with significant support from key stakeholders. Partnering with esteemed organizations such as the United States President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief/Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (PEPFAR/CDC), African Society for Laboratory Medicine (ASLM), Resolve to Save Lives, Africa CDC, Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND), and the University of New Mexico, GHSShas embarked on a mission to elevate the standards of public health laboratory systems on the continent.

Through the collaborative efforts of these entities, substantial strides have been made in fortifying the QMS of laboratories in Africa. This enhancement is not merely a technical upgrade but a critical step towards ensuring that these laboratories are better equipped to tackle disease epidemics and mount effective responses.

The support provided by PEPFAR/CDC, ASLM, Resolve to Save Lives, Africa CDC, FIND, and the University of New Mexico underscores a collective commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure in Africa. By focusing on QMS improvement, these efforts lay a robust foundation for more resilient and responsive public health systems, capable of safeguarding communities against emerging health threats.
