Global Health System Solutions (GHSS) staff have participated in a workshop aimed at revising and validating the National Practical Guide for the provision of HIV testing services, competency assessment of testers, and certification of testing sites.
The four-day workshop, coordinated by “Programme Nationale de Lutte Contre le SIDA-PNLS,” was held in the vibrant city of Kinsantu, in the Congo Centrale province, from May 29 to June 01, 2024. It brought together over 30 stakeholders from the Congolese Ministry of Health, implementing partners, and civil society leaders. GHSS facilitated the workshop.
In his closing remarks, the Director of the PNLS, Dr. Aime Mboyo, congratulated the participants for ensuring that the document was revised.
The implementation of the certification program is a significant step towards enhancing the quality of HIV results and service delivery across numerous sites in the DR Congo.
The PEPFAR project is funded by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in collaboration with the CDC of the Democratic Republic (DR) of Congo.
