EXPERIENCE

Dr. Victor N. Mbome is an esteemed healthcare leader renowned for his extensive educational background and profound contributions to the field. With a diverse academic journey that includes a Diploma in Health Systems Management from Galilee College in Israel (2010), a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Leeds in England (2006-2007), and a Bachelor’s in Dental Surgery from the University of Benin in Nigeria (1979-1985), Dr. Mbome’s commitment to lifelong learning is evident.

Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Mbome has held pivotal roles that have significantly shaped healthcare in Cameroon. Commencing as a dental surgeon in 1986, he ascended to roles such as Medical Adviser and Director of Regional Hospitals, bringing his expertise to bear on healthcare management. Concurrently, he has been a dedicated educator at the University of Buea, where he imparts vitalĀ  knowledge to medical and MPH students.

Dr. Mbome’s leadership extends to the regional level, where he served as the South West Regional Delegate of Public Health and later as Technical Adviser in the Ministry of Public Health. His visionary leadership has been instrumental in addressing critical health challenges, such as developing effective Ebola response plans and fostering impactful partnerships with organizations like MSF.

Recognized for his outstanding contributions, Dr. Mbome has received accolades including the SLMTA HERO AWARD and the title of Knight of the Cameroon Order of Valour. His unwavering dedication continues to drive positive change and progress in healthcare, leaving a lasting impact on communities both in Cameroon and beyond.
