Global Health Systems Solutions (GHSS) is currently implementing an Education and Economic Empowerment Project, “Empowering Youths in Cameroon”, funded by the MasterCard Foundation. This transformative initiative is active in six key regions of Cameroon: Far North, East, Littoral, North West, South West, and West. The project which kicked off in January 2024, began with essential preparatory activities, such as recruiting a talented team of local staff, meticulously mapping out intervention sites, conducting comprehensive enrollment surveys for program participants, and analysing market demand in sectors ripe with potential for employment opportunities.
The GHSS project team consists primarily of Cameroonian nationals, except the Project Manager, Miss Ann Pauline Elasigue who visited Cameroon from March 31st to April 8th, 2024. During her visit, she immersed herself in Cameroon’s rich physical, historical, economic, and socio-cultural landscape. Engaging in collaborative working sessions with key project stakeholders in Douala, she diligently reviewed the status of the implementation and charted out the next strategic steps for the project. GHSS remains steadfast in its commitment to empowering Cameroonian youths through sustainable education and economic opportunities, fostering positive change and prosperity in different regions.
