Our Story
OUR
STORY STARTED IN 2007
Global Health Systems Solutions (GHSS) is a not-for-profit non-governmental organization created in 2007 to strengthen surveillance and medical laboratory systems, services, and networks in developing countries, and also conduct operational research to support healthcare programs. Its Head Office is in Denver-Bonamoussadi, Littoral Region of Cameroon. The Organization has been PEPFAR’s laboratory implementing partner in Ghana, Cameroon, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, where laboratory Quality Management has been carried out since 2010. Our performance has earned us; the US Ambassador’s Honor Award for Programme Partnership and Support for the SLMTA/SLIPTA Program in Ghana, and the US Director of CDC and Administrator, ATSDR International Excellence in Partnering Award for improving the quality of laboratories in developing countries through implementation of quality management systems.

Our LEADERSHIP
WHAT SPEAK PEOPLE
“Special appreciation to GHSS and its partners for imparting our staff with knowledge and skills necessary for quality assurance in healthcare delivery. Though we have successfully gone through the training process, the National Public Health Laboratory still looks up to GHSS for continuous support.”
“It’s a feeling of great joy and satisfaction. I am very happy that our mentors, GHSS and CDC, who led the Bamenda Regional Hospital (where I was the Director) to accreditation, have done same to the Limbe Regional Hospital where I have recently been appointed. They did a great job in training and mentoring this facility throughout the accreditation process”
“GHSS has been with us all along; they have trained us on Strengthening Laboratory Management Toward Accreditation (SLMTA), Internal and External Quality Control, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective and Preventive Actions, Quality Assurance of HIV Rapid Testing, and Laboratory Quality Assurance among others. The Organization has been engaged in certifying our biosafety cabinet and calibrating our equipment. They did the first calibration free of charge before our accreditation and have continued thereafter.”
