Global Health Systems Solutions (GHSS) has organized the second Workshop on Strengthening Laboratory Management Toward Accreditation (SLMTA 2), involving 48 laboratory professionals from selected reference laboratories in Kinshasa, Haut-Katanga, and Lualaba in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo).
The trained laboratory professionals from selected reference laboratories are expected to apply the skills and knowledge gained during the training to enhance the quality management systems of their respective laboratories. They will also help these laboratories achieve ISO 15189 accreditation.
The training, which took place from 25 to 28 August and 8 to 12 September in Lubumbashi and Kinshasa, respectively, was organized within the framework of implementing the PEPFAR project funded through the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in collaboration with the CDC DR Congo and the Directorate for Health Laboratories.
