Global Health Systems Solutions (GHSS) is a non-governmental and not for profit organization dedicated to seeking innovative solutions to strengthen health systems in developing countries for effective service delivery and surveillance of infectious, noninfectious, and neglected tropical diseases. We focus in three key areas: improve laboratory systems and services critical for disease management, surveillance, and prevention; enhance field surveillance and epidemiological training for relevant animal and human-health to mitigate threats posed by diseases; and improve service delivery at all health levels.
Our major collaborators include Ministries of Health, World Health Organization (WHO), United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Africa Centers for Disease Control, Mastercard Foundation and several bi-lateral organizations.
Purpose of the role
In order to strengthen its operational capacities for the implementation of a program on Community approaches to improve Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) needs in the Conflict Zones of the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon, GHSS is currently seeking for outstanding, qualified and experienced District Coordinators who will oversee the overall implementation of the said program at the level of the Dschang, Mbanga and Santa health districts.
Primary duties and responsibilities
- Support the provision of care within the sexual and reproductive health services;
- Work as part of a team and independently in nurse-led clinics and outreach community settings as required;
- Provide a quality and holistic service and be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care needs ensuring confidential records are maintained;
- The post holder will assist in facilitating the training of community health workers and field health attendants in the provision of basic sexual and reproductive health services within;
- Play an active part in the continuing development of the Sexual Health Services;
- Day to day line management responsibilities of community health workers and field health attendants
Education & Experience
Academic requirements and relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Sciences; a Master’s Degree in Public Health, Reproductive Health would be an added advantage;
- 2 years’ experience providing sexual and reproductive health care.
- Experience working with NGOs, Government agencies, or international organizations focused on sexual and reproductive health services in conflict zones;
- Familiarity with sexual and reproductive health challenges faced by vulnerable and displaced populations;

Languages
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and French.
Remuneration
- The salary for this position is very competitive, attractive and negotiable.
- This is a full time position for eight (8) month contract with the possibility to renew
