Global Health Systems Solutions (GHSS) is a non-governmental and not for profit organization dedicated to seeking innovative solutions to strengthen health systems in developing countries for effective service delivery and surveillance of infectious, non-infectious, and neglected tropical diseases. We focus in three key areas:
improve laboratory systems and services critical for disease management, surveillance, and prevention; enhance field surveillance and epidemiological training for relevant animal and human-health to mitigate threats posed by diseases; and improve service delivery at all health levels.

Our major collaborators include Ministries of Health, World Health Organization (WHO), United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Africa Centers for Disease Control, Mastercard Foundation and several bi-lateral organizations.

Purpose of the role
In order to strengthen its operational capacities for the implementation of a program aimed at empowering vulnerable populations educationally and economically, GHSS is currently seeking for outstanding, qualified and experienced Digital Tools and Digital Safe Space Manager or a Consulting firm specialized in Digital tools and digital safe space.

Primary duties and responsibilities

• Research and identify suitable digital tools and platforms for creating a safe space for employment opportunities, skills training, personal development, and health education for vulnerable young populations in Cameroon.
• Lead the development and implementation of the digital safe space, ensuring it is user friendly, accessible, and meets the specific needs of the target audience.
• Develop a comprehensive content strategy for the digital safe space, including employment opportunities, skills training resources, personal development materials, and health education resources
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, such as local organizations, government agencies, and educational institutions, to ensure the digital safe space aligns with existing initiatives and resources in Cameroon.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the digital safe space, collecting and analyzing data to measure its impact on educational and economic empowerment among vulnerable young populations.
• Provide technical support and training to users of the digital safe space, ensuring they are able to fully utilize its resources and tools.
• Stay informed about digital trends and best practices in the field of educational and economic empowerment, and implement any necessary updates or changes to the digital safe space.
• Collaborate with project team members to integrate the digital safe space into broader initiatives aimed at empowering vulnerable young populations in Cameroon.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with relevant organizations and individuals to expand the reach and impact of the digital safe space.
• Regularly communicate with stakeholders, including project beneficiaries, to gather feedback and make improvements to the digital safe space as needed.

Education & Experience

Academic requirements and relevant experience

• Minimum qualification of BSc. in IT related fields with at least 2 years’ experience in the domain or in a similar role.
• Experience in area of digital safe space management;
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud practitioner (CLF-CO1), CompTia Security+ and a certification from Microsoft would be an added advantage

Languages

Remuneration

• The salary for this position is very competitive, attractive and negotiable.
• This is a full time position for a three (3) year contract with the possibility to renew
