JOB ADVERT AT THE GLOBAL HEALTH SYSTEMS SOLUTIONS (GHSS)

Global Health Systems Solutions (GHSS) is a non-governmental and non-profit making organization dedicated to seeking innovative solutions to strengthen health systems in developing countries for effective service delivery and surveillance of infectious, non-infectious, and neglected tropical diseases. We focus in three key areas: improve laboratory systems and services critical for disease management, surveillance, and prevention; enhance field surveillance and epidemiological training for relevant animal and human-health to mitigate threats posed by diseases; and improve service delivery at all health levels.

Our major collaborators include: Ministries of Health, World Health Organization, the United State Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Africa Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and several bi-lateral organizations.

Purpose:

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced individual as the project coordinator for a COVID-19 vaccination programme

Work Location: Douala

Contract Duration: 3 Years.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

 Organizational loyalty and personnel management skills.
 Ability and experience in implementing programs to improve on Health Systems.
 Experiences in running/ or supporting immunization programs in a country in Central African region.
 Ability to work independently, think strategically, and translate strategies into delivery plans with particular
emphasis on details.
 Experience in running health programs with or within the ministry of health in a Central African State.

Qualification/requirements: The candidate should be MD + MPH/MSc in a laboratory related Science, with at least 2 years of experiences in health programs implementation and project management.
